Marco Zanini for Rochas S/S 2010 Collection

I am not very fair I think.....while looking at Mr. Zanini's collection I just could not help myself by comparing his work to the Wonderfully Talented Olivier Theyskens....AND his amazing collections he created while at the head of Rochas.

There were some wonderful looks though and I really loved the use of the nerdy flats to the Adorably Chic outfits, that felt fresh and new.

Too the sunglasses that matched the belt) on Hanne Gaby= To Die For!!!

Amazing fabrics, especially the printed ones.

Christian Costa S/S 2010 Collection

I really Loved some of Mr. Costa's looks!!

I just feel like the show was not coherent, the references was sort of all over the place and it did not make sense that it sort of did at Marc Jacobs show for example.

Shown here is the looks I Adore. The dreamy ones.

Anne Sofie Madsen

Quote:

"Tiki-Mania-Maori
In traditional Maori art the most dominant, mythical motif is the “avianised man” or “bird-woman”. The most important visual art forms are plaiting, relief carving and tattoo.
My idea in this collection was to combine (and confront) this with classic, European clothing - in order to express the contrasts and borders between what we see as primitive/civilianized, exotic/classic and barbaric/elegant.
My idea was not to create bird suits or folk costumes and I decided not to use feathers in the garments and to “translate” the traditional materials of the Maori. I used shoelaces instead of flax strips and exchanged tattooed skin with leather applied on invisible tulle. "
